HAPPY CRUISING SHIPPING POLICY
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Thank you for shopping with Happy Cruising. We aim to get your road-trip accessories to you as quickly and safely as possible.
This Shipping Policy applies to orders placed through the Happy Cruising online store and should be read together with our Returns & Refund Policy and other Terms and Conditions.
Delivery Timeframes
Our estimated delivery timeframe is 8–11 business days from the date your order is confirmed, unless otherwise stated on the product page or during checkout.
Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and South African public holidays.
Please note that delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates, unless Happy Cruising expressly agrees to a specific guaranteed delivery date in writing.
South African e-commerce law requires an online supplier to disclose the timeframe within which goods will be dispatched or delivered. SAFLII
Courier
Orders are generally delivered using The Courier Guy or another courier service selected by Happy Cruising.
Where available, tracking information will be provided once your order has been dispatched.
Courier tracking information and estimated delivery dates supplied by a courier are estimates provided by that courier and should not necessarily be regarded as a guaranteed delivery date.
Courier & Unforeseen Delays
While we make reasonable efforts to ensure orders arrive within the estimated timeframe, delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances outside Happy Cruising's reasonable control.
These may include courier network delays, severe weather, road closures, strikes, load disruptions, unusually high order volumes, public holidays, incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by the customer, remote-area delivery delays or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Happy Cruising will not be responsible for losses arising solely from delays outside our reasonable control to the extent permitted by South African law.
However, nothing in this Shipping Policy excludes or limits any rights or remedies that a consumer is entitled to under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, or other applicable South African law.
This last sentence is important. ECTA generally requires an online supplier to execute an order within 30 days unless another period has been agreed, and where the supplier fails to execute within the applicable period, the consumer may cancel with seven days' written notice. SAFLII
Incorrect Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, contact number and other required delivery information when placing an order.
If an order cannot be delivered because the customer supplied an incorrect or incomplete address, was unavailable to receive the delivery where required, or otherwise caused the delivery to fail, the customer may be responsible for reasonable additional delivery or re-delivery costs, to the extent permitted by law.
Happy Cruising will not be responsible for delays resulting from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.
Tracking Your Order
Once your order has been dispatched, you may receive tracking information by email, SMS, WhatsApp or another method available to us.
Please allow time for the courier's tracking system to update after collection.
If your order appears to be significantly delayed, please contact us at [YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS] with your order number so that we can investigate the delivery.
Lost or Damaged Parcels
If you believe your parcel has been lost or damaged during delivery, please contact Happy Cruising as soon as reasonably possible.
Please provide your:
Order number, full name, delivery address, description of the issue and photographs of any damage where applicable.
We may investigate the matter with the courier before determining the appropriate remedy.
Importantly, I would not put “once the parcel is handed to the courier, Happy Cruising accepts no responsibility.” That could conflict with consumer protections. Under the CPA's general delivery provisions, goods can remain at the supplier's risk until accepted by the consumer, although section 19 itself recognises that ECTA section 46 governs applicable e-commerce transactions. WIPO Lex
Failed Delivery Attempts
Where delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available to receive the parcel, access to the delivery address is unavailable, or the customer supplied incorrect delivery details, the courier may attempt redelivery or return the parcel.
Where permitted by law, any reasonable additional courier charges resulting from circumstances attributable to the customer may be charged to the customer before the order is resent.
Order Delays
If your order has not arrived within the estimated 8–11 business day period, please contact us.
An order arriving after the estimated timeframe does not automatically mean that the parcel has been lost. We will first investigate the shipment with the courier and provide the customer with an update as soon as reasonably possible.
Where applicable law gives the customer a right to cancel an order because of delayed performance, nothing in this policy limits that right.
Delivery Areas
Happy Cruising currently delivers to addresses within South Africa, subject to courier availability.
Certain remote or outlying areas may take longer to service and may be subject to additional delivery charges where these are disclosed to the customer.
Delivery Fees
Applicable shipping charges will be displayed during checkout before the customer completes their purchase.
Any additional delivery charges caused by a customer's request to change the delivery address after dispatch may be charged to the customer where permitted by law.

South African Consumer Rights
Nothing contained in this Shipping Policy is intended to exclude, waive or restrict any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.
If any provision of this Shipping Policy conflicts with a mandatory provision of applicable South African law, the applicable law will prevail and the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted.
